Mission Statement:

The mission of the Brown Soil & Water Conservation District is to provide the leadership in promoting and protecting the integrity of Brown County's soil, water and other natural resources through technical assistance and education.

URBAN PROGRAMS

With the passage of the Brown County Subdivision Regulations in March 2003, the Brown SWCD has accepted the responsibility of informing land users about effective storm water management at construction sites.  Through the Brown County Subdivision Regulations process land users receive Site Specific Soils Information, requirements for Brown County’s Sediment and Erosion Control Plan and the Ohio EPA’s Permitting Program for 1 (one) or more acres of land being disturbed.
